During the summer, the NKBA-Ottawa Chapter presented a cheque to the Algonquin College Foundation to start the Kitchen and Bath Design programs first bursary award. NKBA-Ottawa Chapter gave $6,250.00 which will be matched by the Ontario Government on March 31, 2012, making the bursary $12,500.00! Approximately 4% of the interest from the endowed funds are disbursed annually to students in need. Students that show financial need will have access to the funds starting in January of 2013. Thank you to all who participated in any way through out the year to attain this goal!
